Step 4: House Exercise
- On the practice file that you downloaded, complete the lines:
- Missing panes (grid) on the upper window
- Branches on the tree
- Ground level
- Use your imagine and add more lines to the drawing such as:
- add a window onto the door
- add more windows onto the building
- add more lines onto the silo
- add shakes onto the roof
- add a chimney
- add a window onto the door
- You could also use the basic shapes you have learned about to add more buildings, trees, shrubs, a car, or something in the sky. Be creative and try something new that makes your project unique.
- When you are finished, submit your work through our Team Page
What you should have learned:
- A line is a path composed of start and end anchor points, connected by a path.
- Draw lines using the Line Segment tool in the Tools panel. Select the Line Segment tool by clicking and holding the Rectangle tool in the Tools panel.
- Lines you draw are Live, which means you can edit the length, direction, and angle after drawing them without switching from the Line Segment tool.
- Rotate a line by moving the pointer off an end and dragging.
